Our Italian wine program has won acclaim for both its depth and the value we offer our guests, including Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Award of Distinction in 2006.

Wine Director Salomon Navarro, building on the tradition developed by John Neumark, maintains a list that is unparalleled for its reflection of the rich wine landscape of Italy. Salomon chooses wines to form an easy partnership with Executive Chef Brian Clevenger’s cuisine: rustic yet refined. Serafina prides itself on buying intelligently, and offering great wine to our guests at good value.

Owner Susan Kaufman has traveled to Italy numerous times, and had the good fortune to visit classic wineries and winemakers, including Feudi di San Gregorio, Felsina, Selvapiana, Erik Banti, Produttori di Barbaresco, and Vietti. The relationships she’s built have fostered a great respect for the Italian wine tradition amongst her staff, and have also led to winemaker dinners with visiting Italian wine masters.

We house our wines in a temperature controlled, custom built wine cabinet in our dining room. Many of our bottles are cellared, still waiting to reach their peak. And though we present our wine with a certain reverence in elegant Riedel stemware, we hope you’ll simply enjoy the way it pairs so beautifully with our food, our lovely dining room, and the company of friends.
